The landmark of Withington. Originally The White Lion then renamed Withington Ale House whilst a smaller basement bar was called The White Lion. Now reverted back to original name. The basement of the pub contains a well.

The oldest cinema in Manchester. Originally called The Scala and then Cine City. Currently closed and awaiting redevelopment.

Originally located at the corner of Wellington Rd, then the junction of Wilmslow Rd/Palatine Rd, then outside Withington Library. It was then taken to Heald Green and returned. Now at the end of Copson St.

The inn was a well known meeting place in the 18th and 19th Centuries for the Court Leet and the Trustees of the Turnpike Trust. Bowling Green to the rear.
